We accept downhill, cross country and snowboard equipment, ski racks, ice skates, roller blades. Bindings are accepted but must be mounted to a board. GS suits and helmets are accepted, but no other clothing is allowed.
The Grand Traverse Ski Club will take a 20% commission on all sold goods. Items priced at $10 or below are considered a donation to the club.
How are the Funds Used:
After paying for supplies, advertising and facility use, the ski swap is still the biggest annual fund raiser for the GTSC. Proceeds from this event are used for the following:
- Offset the costs of ski and snowboard clinics. The fees charged for most of our programs do not cover the direct costs of coaching and additional funds are required.
- Upgrades to Hickory Hills. The GTSC has donated over $20,000 to the ski hill in the past year.
- Purchase of new equipment such as gates, training gates, timers, etc.
- The GTSC donates funds annually to the three area High School Race teams
